Located at 17 W Adams St Chicago, IL. Corner of Adams St at State St.
I just thought that since this fine Chicago brewery was about to close at the end of February, it would be a good idea to have an event here. From what I can see there are quite a few caches not too far away to grab either before of after this Meet and Greet. There will not be a set area for us but I have been told that it should be pretty slow and we should be able to mingle before eating. Hope to you all on Feb 20 from 6pm-9pm

An event cache in Robinson Illinois 62454 on May 20, 2006. The cache page is GCT6GG (at this time not approved yet will hit GC.com on Feb 19). We will be updating the page in the next few weeks with more details. We have a pretty good cache density to make the trip worth your while. Some rough details, we will have a morning meet and greet, then everyone is free to do as they like for a few hours. We will all meet back for some deep fried turkey, hamburgers, brats, and hotdogs. More details to come.

The event will be held at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton Illinois. Illinois Department of Natural Resources has graciously accommodated us for a spectacular weekend. There will be technical seminars, chalk talks, food, fellowshipping and of course, caching! If you haven't been to a MOGA event, check out the pictures at SLAGA's website.

From the CIGA website:
A CIGA club meeting is scheduled for Sunday, 29 January 2006 4:00 PM, at the Normal Coffee House. If you are unfamiliar with this location, meet in front of the Wild Country Outdoor store or at the location of cache Corner of Walk & Don't Walk by 8913 & Alacrity (GCH0ZF). This is our first meeting of the New Year and we will discuss the following topics plus any new topics.
Report on number of members and a review of club finances - Patty tracker.
Discuss proposal to move the web site. The owner of the new website has been invited to discuss his site and familiarize the group with its capabilities. We need to decide as a board on the future of the site. We should be able to bring the question to a vote at the meeting.
Peoria Breakfast Cache has not been posted yet, but will be scheduled for 4 March 2006. I have solicited one business for donations. Anyone else that knows of a business that could donate items for door prizes, etc. please bring the info to the meeting. We need to decide on placing any event caches as well as get someone to develop a map of local caches, etc. for visiting geocachers.
We need to decide a meeting location - stay at the Coffeehouse or move to Todinos, etc. We need to set up a schedule of meetings. We need to decide on any further events and get someone assigned to lead the events.
Who is attending MOGA? Do we need a home base for CIGA members to meet/greet etc?
Future topics: Term of Office for Directors, CITO event, New Geocachers Training Class, Paperless caching class, Advanced Geocaching Class, Swap meet.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting as we get out the jumper cables and give CIGA a jumpstart for the New Year.
Regards,
Peoria Bill
Board Member
